Frequently Asked Questions
🐕 Travel Safety & Comfort
Q: Is it safe for pets to fly?
A: Absolutely. We only book with airlines that offer pet-friendly cargo holds: temperature-controlled, pressurised, and dark or dimly lit for comfort. Each crate is secure and meets international travel standards.
Q: What kind of crate will my pet travel in?
A: We use airline-approved travel kennels, sized for your pet’s safety and comfort. If needed, we’ll help you select or customize one that meets both airline and import requirements.
Q: What happens during long layovers?
A: On layovers, pets are transferred to secure, pet-care facilities where they can rest, hydrate, and be checked on by trained staff.
📋 Documentation & Regulations
Q: What documents are required for international pet travel?
A: Requirements vary by country, but common items include:
Veterinary Health Certificate
Rabies Vaccination
Microchip
Import Permits
We’ll take care of everything — you’ll just need to schedule the vet visits.
Q: Can you help with quarantine rules?
A: Yes. If your destination requires quarantine, we’ll coordinate the booking and make sure your pet is cared for during the stay.
✈️ Travel Process
Q: How far in advance should I book my pet’s travel?
A: Ideally, 30–60 days in advance. Some destinations have longer prep timelines (especially if rabies titer tests are required), so the earlier, the better.
Q: Will my pet be on the same flight as me?
A: Not always. Many pets fly separately due to airline regulations or routing. Either way, we coordinate timing so you're reunited as soon as possible.
Q: Can I track my pet’s journey?
A: Yes. We provide real-time updates at key milestones: check-in, takeoff, layovers, and arrival. You’ll always know where they are and how they’re doing.
💬 Communication & Support
Q: Will I have a dedicated point of contact?
A: 100%. You’ll be assigned a personal pet travel specialist who will guide you through every step, from crate fitting to customs clearance.
Q: What happens if there’s a delay?
A: We plan for contingencies and are in direct contact with airlines and local agents to reroute, rebook, or care for your pet as needed.
💰 Pricing & Payment
Q: How much does international pet travel cost?
A: Unfortunately, international pet travel is expensive. Prices vary based on the destination, pet size, airline, and service level. Most international trips range from £1,500–£5,000. We offer fixed price quotes with no hidden fees.
Q: When is payment required?
A: A 20% deposit is required to confirm the booking. This is fully refundable if you change your mind within 7 days. The remaining balance is due at least 14 days before the date of travel.
